Hi guys. It’s been such a long time since I’ve even been on deviantArt, l promised myself I’d not abandon it and I went ahead and did that. So during my spare time I want to catch up with everyone, especially DarkAngelsRhapsody, she’s been the most supportive of my writing, and sylessae who gave me excellent advise and support herself. Reply back here so we can have a chat.

I may have not been on dA but I’ve been very active. I forget exactly when it started but I’ve been working on a fantasy story to publish into a book, last year I plotted the plot so I don’t have to remember everything as I write and since February I have been writing the proper first draft of the first book. In fact while I still have a lot of the book to write I’m reaching a point where I’ll be looking for beta readers to help me review and edit the work as I go. Unlike my last story I won’t be posting it here until it’s done and it’s gets published, if you are interested in being a beta reader send me a PM and we can discuss it there.

I’m also a university student. I’m going for a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Creative Writing, mostly to improve my current skill and to socialize more but I’m also using the opportunity to get some exposure from the university newspaper, writing articles about recreational maths and science that interests me, breaking down complex concepts into simpler ideas and talk about their uses in the real world. I don’t think it’s worth posting them here but then again I don’t know about news on dA so who knows. The newspaper also does fiction so depending on how well I do I’m considering short stories and that I will definitely put here once I’ve done them.

So....a New Year.....

Okay.
So the past eight months since I returned to dA has actually been a very informative period; the internet is so much more different than I every really expected, very nearly all of my friends have gone which isn't that much of a surprise, being seen takes so much effort that anyone with a weak will and a small circle of friends might end up leaving dA - that's a huge thing I want people to take away here - and finally that finding the right people really change the future. From the time that I restarted in April I genuinely thought I'd end up leaving dA for good because I was getting nothing at all, but now I have a very supportive group of new friends who encourage me a great deal. I just want to take a moment to thank these people here; Arasteia is a great artist who does a lot of creepy pieces, I'm not a fan of the darker side but her art is extraordinary and she is a great person to talk to. She made a series of journals about mental health as well as a ripping good read artists who are finding trouble breaking into the site. You know what, here's the link to it! It's seriously worth the read. sylessae is another great artist who is doing a project that kinda ballooned into this massive artist movement. If you're not aware of Starcall it's a wonderful initiative where artists can collaborate to create artworks freely for artist that are otherwise unable to pay for commissions. It's a great idea and definitely worth backing, go to sylessae's profile page for more information and how to apply a request or to become an artist for Starcall, tell her Chris sent you. ^_^ Bugger it! Watch Syl while you're at it! DarkAngelsRhapsody is one of my oldest friends on dA, she was here with me back in the heyday of dA in 2006 and 2007 and she remains to be one of my best friends here, definitely up there with Arasteia and sylessae. She does fantastic 3D landscapes and the occasional writing. She tells me she's read all me work this whole time, I don't believe her but I love the compliment. xD
Lastly I want to shout out two artists in particular, Lady-Raven16 and MelsSketchdump . Both of them did something for me that I never really ever had happen before, they both created fanarts of my original characters. I know them from sylessae's Discord server but these weren't Starcall requests so much as they were interested in making piece of my characters. >///< I've never been so flattered before. Lady-Raven16 did my personal favorite OC because she was the most unique idea I ever came up with; Chiyo Akemi who is the Millennial Sailor Pluto from my fanfiction, and Chaolamity did a really great job in recreating Lily from Forbidden Love.
I hope the new year will bring more good fortune and more friendly people to meet and talk with. I won't deny that I'd love more fanart by anyone willing to make any. But I also want to tell you that I'm also hyping over a new project to take one after Forbidden Love is over, I'm creating character profiles for a high fantasy epic I kinda teased a while ago but decided to take another direction. I intend to start it this year so if you like a unique high fantasy story with lots of colourful characters and unique ideas watch this space. :3

Discord and Server

Hey everyone I'm letting you guys know that I'm on Discord. If you have a Discord account and want to talk to me just go to your Friends Tab and search for Chris Sifniotis#2303, you'll see my ugly mug as my avatar.

Also, I've made a server on Discord for all the friends I've made during my time there. It's a place for anime fans, gamers and artists to socialize and share interests. If you like to join in this group or if you want to add me as a friend there please reply in this journal so I can expect you. I tend to ignore friend requests from random people so please make sure to tell me your interest here because I might not see it. As for the server I'll send you one day invites though PM so expect mail tomorrow.

Bugger, I need to make more of these!

Wow, it's been since June since I posted my last journal entry. I guess I should update on my stuff. There's no a great deal to say apart from the fact that I'm over the halfway point with Forbidden Love. Soon as I draw closer to the end of the story I'm going to start seriously thinking about how I can get the story published, I honestly don't know where to start, but one thing I do know is that I have an idea who I'd love to commission for the book cover. I'll still need to discuss it with her on dA but as long as I have the ability to meet face to face I can have the option to commission with one of the great talents on deviantArt. Deviant artists should support deviant artists.

In the meantime the fanfiction is going strong and while yes the original story has been draining the productivity of the story the fanfiction is just for me to sharpen my skill so I'm not that worried about that.
One last bit of interesting news is that a person I talk to a lot on Discord seems to be making me fanart of one of my original characters. I've never had that before, I'm genuinely flattered.

Expansion, Bookcovers and Donate?

So I've decided to expand out for my writing, I currently have a fanfiction.net account where of course Sailor Moon X is exclusively being published chapter by chapter there, and a Wattpad account where at the moment I'm posting Sailor Moon X but since it's a general publishing site I'll also post Forbidden Love once it's complete. Interestingly in Wattpad I can create a book cover for my story, that's taken me completely by surprise, so I'm thinking about how I'm going to do that with my lack for digital drawing ability. I already have an idea for how I want to compose it, at the very least it will include the logo I drew for it;

However if I can't produce a good looking cover myself I may need to commission one and I have no idea if I even can because I don't trust the internet with my money and I have more or less no points; 28 is nothing. The last time I opened a donation module I got nothing so I'm of two minds whether it's even worth doing, but I'm considering restarting a new donation module for core memberships and/or commissions.

Woe is me.

My Library, read at your own leisure.....
